CyberWars
Apr 13, 2026 - Apr 17, 2026 Porto

CyberWars

The programme is an intensive, in-person experience in Vila Nova de Gaia focused on creating new cybersecurity startups directly connected to real market needs, not abstract theory.

Over five immersive days, participants visit cybersecurity and infrastructure organisations, tackle concrete business challenges, and work side by side with international mentors to design solutions for European and Brazilian companies.

Each team develops an initial prototype and a validation plan with pilot customers, aligning technical innovation with clear business impact and startup creation within the Porto-Gaia ecosystem.

Participants working on cybersecurity challenges

The programme is designed around three fundamental objectives:

Real-Market Cybersecurity

Ground learning in current threats, frameworks, and real incidents with technical visits and hands-on risk mapping.

Startup Creation & Validation

Build solutions around three central challenges, define target customers, and plan validation with pilot companies.

Crisis & Resilience Mastery

Develop capabilities in incident response, forensics, and orchestration of cyber crises with business and regulatory focus.

A transformative five-day experience that connects cybersecurity expertise with entrepreneurship, guiding teams from problem definition to prototype and market validation in the Porto-Gaia ecosystem.

Methods & Outcomes

Interactive sessions combining theory and practice, including pentesting, cloud and IoT security, crisis simulations, real business challenges, panels with cybersecurity founders, and project-based work developed in parallel with mentor support. All materials and project documents are shared via collaborative online tools.
